American Literature CLEP Prep Practice Exam

The novel Invisible Man was written by Ralph Ellison. While Zora Neale Hurston also wrote a highly influential novel that is often added to school reading lists, her novel is called Their Eyes Were Watching God. Ernest Hemingway wrote a multitude of classic pieces but none of which were titled Invisible Man. Sinclair Lewis was a prolific writer but Ellison is famous for this particular novel often studied within high schools and college literature courses. Ellison was an exceptional author and has a collection of thought provoking and emotionally powerful novels, with his most famous being Invisible Man.
